One degree of Enthusiasm
Having listened to many pitches in my time, it is not often I am graced with any degree of enthusiasm when people are trying to present something to me or indeed a group of people I happen to be with. Whats the solution I hear you say?? Well, from where i am standing its quite simple. Dont sell it!!! I want to be excited about a product or service when its being explained to me. What happened to people believing in what they have to offer? What happened to someone saying to me “Guess what your gonna love this?” with a huge smile on their face and an eager desire to tell me all about it. Is it because every product or service in this country is crap? Or do Sales people just look at it as a job with a means to an end? Im not suggesting ringing some bell or a few ‘woo yeahs’ (Like the Americans). What I shall propose to any Sales Person looking to sell anything, try and look excited even if you aren’t.
If nothing else think of the MONEY!! Woo yeah, ring that bell baby!!
